The TMPS 21000 series was originally developed by Sandia National Laboratories to meet the high security needs of the nuclear industry. TMPS is now manufactured by Perimeter Products, inc., to provide intruder detection in situations once thought to be too difficult for conventional equipment. The PPi TMPS will detect intrusions ranging from a person creeping along the ground to a high speed vehicle, while being confined so that movement beyond the specified protection zone will not cause an alarm. The TMPS 21000 can be deployed on surfaces of dirt, concrete, pavement, grass, gravel and even across slopes and uneven terrain. The automatic alignment procedure provides a rapid deployment system that can be put into service by personnel who have minimal special training.
TMPS-21100The TMPS 21100 is a portable, bistatic unit than can be deployed either as a line or perimeter configuration by using two or more arranged to the shape of the desired protection pattern.
The TMPS-21200 combines the capabilities of the 21100 unit with the additional configuration option of Monostatic Operation. This allows one unit to be deployed by itself and set up a cylindrical protection pattern of up to 48 meters (157 feet) radius. Set up on top of a vehicle or aircraft, the 21200 can be assigned to protect the area around the object it is set upon.
The TMPS-21500
kit is a field ready set of three of the 21200 units and a laptop
controller. Each item in its own rugged case is ready to be deployed
in a line, on a perimeter, or on top of 3 separate vehicles or
aircraft. This is the ideal packaging to travel with a tactical
military unit or to accompany protective details at a safe house.
